MIMI ELMORE

Mimi's love of the natural world was on full display at the Boulder Arts and Crafts Cooperative for her featured artist show from October, 2017 to January, 2018.  She displayed twelve of her "Spirit of the Great Plains" series of buffalos.  Her fondness for farm animals is evidenced by her yearly trip to the Great Western Stock Show in Denver to gather photographic resources for her paintings.  Mimi's hometown of Keokuk is on the Mississippi river in Southeastern Iowa. It is the winter nesting ground for hundreds of bald eagle pairs because it provides the first open water for hunting fish.  Her Hunting Eagle is a good example of what you'll see everday on the river.
